What is the Price of the Grand Vitara?
Although Maruti is yet to announce the price for the 2022 Grand Vitara, it is expected to start from around Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom), The Times of India reported. Pre-bookings for the car have commenced from July 11 for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The car will be retailed through Maruti Suzuki's premium Nexa dealership chain.
On the design front, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 2022 gets a NEXwave’ grille up front, which will be flanked by spilt LED headlamps. The LED tail lights at the rear end run across the width of the tailgate.
Under the hood, the 2022 Grand Vitara comes in two engine options. The Intelligent Electric Hybrid trim is powered by a 1.5-litre self-charging strong hybrid powertrain. This variant come in four different modes – EV, Eco, Power and Normal – and offers the best-in-class fuel efficiency at 27.97 km per litre. The car will offer only an e-CVT.
The Progressive Smart Hybrid trim comes with a 1.5-litre engine paired with features such as brake energy regeneration, torque assist, and idle start-stop. This will be the mild-hybrid version. The Progressive Smart Hybrid trim will offer a maximum fuel efficiency of 21.11 km per litre. It will have a five-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
The First SUV joins Maruti Suzuki Family
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 2022 is slated to be the first-ever strong hybrid SUV made by the company.
On the inside, the 2022 Grand Vitara will have next-generation Suzuki connect, with more than 40 connected features, a fully digital instrument cluster, the SmartPlay Pro+ 9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, head-up display, a 360-degree camera, front ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof.
It will come with safety features such as six airbags, rear disc brakes as standard, ESP, hill hold assist, hill descent control, and TPMS. The car will be equipped with wireless-charging with features like device left alert system and overheating protection.
Maruti will offer the Grand Vitara in six monotone colour options and three-Dualtone colour options.
